My Owl Sweater!

I thought it was about time I made myself a sweater. I think it turned out pretty good. I added a ribbed collar and thumb holes (no need for gloves). Now I am making myself a cabled sweater with the leftover yarn from this sweater.

Dino Hat

Just a quick photo update of the "Dino" hat that I made for my brother-in-law. I am glad to be done with this project and very happy that it fits him.

Alluvia Felted Tote

Come September I hope to order a new pattern for the "Alluvia Felted Tote" by Allison Haas and some yummy yarn from the Knit Picks website. I love the felted Booga Bag that my Grandma made me a few years back for Christmas, but the handle is wearing down and I think of the purse as a keepsake.
I can't decide if I should stick with the colors that the pattern calls for or if I should choose my own. I can't wait to get started on this one, it will be a fun fall project. This is a picture off the Knit Picks website of what mine will hopefully look like when I'm done.

So...

I finished the Dino Hat I was working on for my brother-in-law Mike. It FITS!!! Yay! My socks are still coming along. I've had a few set backs. I started the gusset row too late and had to rip out a bunch of rows : ( Then my brand new knitting needles split at one end and I had to by a new pair. (Thankfully my brother-in-law has skills and fixed the needle for me) I am slowly making progress on the baby sack. I hope to get more motivation to finish it soon...

So Close...Yet So Far Away

I'm so close to finishing a hat for my brother-in-law Mike. All I have to do is sew on the dino spikes and I will be done. These last finishing details in my projects have been known to stop me in my tracks and move me onto new projects. Alas my deadline for finishing this hat is running out and I will have to work through my aversions.
On another note...I am making great progress on my socks. I am now at the point where I can start creating the gusset. I already feel an addiction to toe-up-two-at-a-time socks.
I am working on finishing another baby pea pod. It is going well, I'm slightly worried about it not being big enough. I still have one more increase to go, if it is not big enough after that I will have to figure out a way to change the pattern a bit.
I hope to have pictures soon of all the finished projects. Can't wait to be done, I always feel like a free women after I finish projects.
